Brief Description: Benches prepared for upper wing construction
Spent some time today preparing the work benches for the upper wing construction. The two 1.2m x 2.4m benches were placed together at exactly 6.5 degrees and a ply insert between the benches gave a continuous surface. When it came time to draw the wing spar and rib locations onto the bench, it became obvious that extending the table by 900mm each end would help! These were constructed and the whole bench was mathematically squared and laser levelled to within 0.25mm in elevation and 0.5 mm in distance. When the spar racks are attached to the bench surface, I will try to improve this accuracy!
