* Pop rivetted baffle and Z brackets (3 hours Temp 10 Deg C) * 100% clecod end Z brackets
No problems encountered (covered AD 41/42 pop rivets after squeezing baffle rivets)
I had read that a few people have had baffle alignment problems, caused by the fact that there are no dimples to locate into each other. I therefore decided to put a rivet in the centre hole (top and bottom) and moved the baffle until they were perpendicular. Then I 100% clecod the baffle.
As with all my sessions I spent almost as much time planning/doing a dry run as I did sealing/rivetting; this certainly reduced the associated stress levels dramatically. Part of that planning included double checking the Z Bracket alignment and marking the baffle and Z Bracket with matching orientation and rivet call out.
