I note when operating the trap door that it got stuck in the inverted position. This was caused by the lower hinge protruding (red circle) and touching the top hinge bend (red arrow). A bit of filing and wet 'n dry cured that. Note also the rib hole covered up, this is recommended by Van's along with the trap door to prevent fuel going outboard during knife edge flight.
