I used PR1422-B2 100ml semkit applied with a standard caulk gun, which was still workable after 2 hours - the garage temperature was 12 degrees C. We were well organised with plenty of spare gloves, cloths, medical tongue sticks, which made things so much easier. We rivetted as follows:
- Stiffeners/cap flange - back rivet (had to remove pastic sleeve from back rivet set for last rivet - vent clip. - Fuel drain - squeezer - Sealed tool hole rivet (AN470AD6-4) and flop tube o-ring
Lessons learned:
* Don't cover your back rivet plate with polythene sheet as the rivets aren't 100% flush (as they're underneath no one will see and it only happened to the two outboard stiffeners).
*Taping up the rivet gun/bucking bar with masking tape made simple cleaning afterwards
* MEK solvent is awful but a very efficient cleaner
Post note. I never cleaned my clecos and have not had any problems during the project so far using them with dry bits of sealant (Aug 2008)
* The semkit made the session straight forward with minimal mess
