Brief Description:  Wing Jig Support Bracket

I borrowed the eye to eye turnbuckle idea from Richard Horan in the UK, which I sourced from Techni-Cable. The thread is M6 and the eyes were M8. Like most ideas it is simple but so effective. All you do is adjust the turnbuckle to get 0 degrees, tighten everything then drill the final hole using the pre-drilled hole and secure.

I made the support bracket long enough so that the edge of the spar is at the far end, which meant I only had to drill/cut out one section for the wing skin as it overlaps. I used a #12 drill 1/2" in and used a hacksaw, filed it and used some wet and dry to smooth it out.

I also have used 3/16" clecos to hold the rib support bracket in position until the wing skeleton is rivetted, then I'll bolt it down for the rest of the wing construction. For UK builders the M5 is a very good replacement for a 3/16" bolt if you can't source them and a #12 drill works fine.

Regarding the angle I ordered 2 x 6ft lengths of AA6-125x1x1 and this has worked out fine for the two wings.
