The great thing about this project is I'm learning new skills - I have never used a tap and die set in my life. I bought a set from eBay and found some instructions through Google.
My only advice to anyone in my shoes whose never done it before is:
* Practice on the top hole for your first go
* When you place the tap in the hole and start to turn check from front AND side that the tap is vertical.
* Boelube is the dogs bollocks - it's worked wonders on our front door lock!
