The Manual recommends offsetting the bend line 1/32" but Richard Horan (see Trim Tab 1 for link) and I both agree on 1/16" (red line) this is born out by the results, which I am very pleased with. HOWEVER, it was the least enjoyable and most stressful part of the build so far. Sorry Van's but this was not fun!
I will be writing to Vans' to suggest the use of riblets - they are used on the control surface outboard rib, they are used in the RV Training Project control surface, they are neater and will be much less hassle!
