Having completed the HS the VS is very straight forward and is basically half a HS. The only real problem I came up against was rivetting the VS-410PP brackets (see Image 2). Basically the rivets are VERY close to the bend of the bracket (unlike the other brackets) and it is not possible to get the Avery back rivet set in due to the white plastic sheath. I used a pneumatic squeezer successfully on the other 5 but this last one was stubborn and was drilled out 3 times! My inspector assisted me replace the rivet and this time we bucked it successfully. I opted to make the lightening holes in VS-808PP - a fly cutter was useless but the toothed circular hole cutter was fine. Saved about three ounces!!
