This was exactly as I envisaged it and in practice so far it works really well.
MAIN PANEL
I plan to put 3M Dual Lock on the map door so that I can "stick" things like a clock for precision flying and an Aresti card for an aerobatic sequence plus other things I haven't thought of yet Post note 2013.... a mobile phone running Sky Demon as a back up to the EFIS.
The analogue intsruments are mandated in the UK but so far I have tended to use them as the primary, though on short finals I do watch the Groundspeed readout on the EFIS closely, particularly when going into short strips.
