I managed to rivet all the nutplates with solid rivets but could not have done this without the tools shown in the photo.
1) The mirror allows you to check that the nut plate is in the correct position before riveting and to check the heads afterwards.
2) I had this bucking bar made to do some rivets on the centre section (outboard AN470's) and it was ideal for the tight space under the floor.
3) Magentic pen to hold nutplate and slide into position before clecoing and picking up dropped nutplates!
I hand squeezed the forward nutplates with the longeron yoke bar one each side next to the rudder cable support.
The Aft Control Mount nutplates were all bucked. I did consider using Cerry Rivets CCR264CS-3-3 if the bucking did not work. I think if you can solo buck all the bottom wing skin rivets you can do these with the right bucking bar and patience.
Major Milestone having the floors in as it means the project is nearing completion.
