I tried a local auto electrics garage to see if they could do the heavy duty crimping for me but they only soldered. I then chatted to the electrical department at work and they were kind enough to loan me a hydraulic crimp tool for a week to complete the 4 AWG crimps.
Like most things in life if you have the right tools the job is easy and boy is this the right tool. It creates a hex crimp and I cut through one of the terminals to see a solid peice of copper - completely gas tight - the perfect crimp. To buy new - £580!
The sequence was: * cable terminal fitted on one end * black heatshrink (eBay) and clear heatshrink (B&C) fitted * other cable terminal fitted * label inserted into clear heatshrink * heatshrink heated * ends fitted with MS25171-2S terminal boots
