I gained the idea of a stand from the internet and this will be particulalrly useful when I apply Sikaflex to bond the canopy. My back is not the strongest in the world so I wanted it to be failrly high so I could apply the bond to the top side of the upper canopy frame longeron without a hunched back.
I bought 8 x 7/8" x 1 7/8" x 7'10" softwood and some 1 1/2" wood screws and had a tiny amount left over at the end.
When the canopy is on the frame I will not move it on my own - hence the stretcher type handles. The cost of a replacement is too painful and $$$$$ to bear!
