Brief Description:  Rear Throttle/2 Lever Deluxe Throttle Problem 1

I bought the 2 lever deluxe throttle quadrant from Vans beacuse I like the cylindrical handle. Whilst installing the rear throttle I discovered that the push rod clevis slotted over the back plate of the quadrant. To have the clevis on the throttle lever I had two options:

1) move the bulkhead holes inboard 1/2" or

2) Fit 1/2" spacers to the inboard section of the quadrant to move the throttle lever outboard.

Option one would mean filing so much of bulkhead F-804 that two rivet holes would be removed and the bulkhead weakened.

Option two seemed to be a win win. By moving the throtle quadrant outboard 1/2" you would move it to a similar position of the 3 lever deluxe - useful if I, or the next owner, wish to upgrade to constant speed prop. Also it would mean minimal filing of the bulkhead holes. The downside was the extra cost of parts.

I stripped the quadrant after having to apply outrageous pressure to the bolts/nuts - no way were they torqued correctly. I also had to remove the rivets holding the bolt head nut plate. Cont/
