Brief Description: Rememberance at Caernarfon Part 1
To continue from my ADS-B Out tribute in the previous post Jill wanted to visit Caernarfon to see the Poppies: Weeping Window which has previously been at the Tower of London and Windsor Castle. This year it is at Caernarfon Castle and amazingly is free to enter.
We set off early on a beautiful late autumn day and arrived at Caernarfon at 0900 ready to catch the 0930 bus. The castle is in great condition and is where Prince Charles was invested in 1969 - it also contains a very interesting museum of the Royal Welch Fusiliers.
The poppy tribute was great and as we arrived slightly before the airfield opened we flew an orbit of the castle to get a sneak preview.
