We spent 2 days/3 nights Resting and Recuperating (R&R) ... not sure what from but it had been a busy period for James at work and so this was a welcome break. It also gave us chance to read up on the latest ARC documents before we flew down to Alverca, a Portuguese Air Force Base just North East of Lisbon which would be our operating base for the race weekend.
I put out a call for help on the UK RV Forum about my fuel cap and David Broom, who I've known since first flying my RV, said he could lend me his cap that was sitting in his wing of an RV7 build. Amazingly for £24 it arrived within 24 hours. As I needed to purchase one I asked Sport 20 Pete Pengilly (UK) if he could bring one with him which he did. Thanks gents for the rescue operation.
Learned that my youngest son could not travel out to Portugal as he has chicken pox (not great at age 22) and so he and Jill will not be coming to enjoy the sun and entertainment. Hopefully the next ARC Race.
