Brief Description:  Mounted engine

I borrowed Sam's engine hoist to perform this operation. I picked up the engine from the shipping pallete and hoisted it into proximity of the engine mount. I then followed Van's installation procedure to mount it. The back of the engine had to be slowly manuevered into position to get the mounting bolt holes to line up. I first concerned myself with the lower mounting points. I was able to get bolts through the Lord mounts and the holes in the engine block. At first, there was just enough room to get the nut on the bolt with a couple of threads length. I then focused on getting the top two bolts lined up and attached. I used the hoist to pull the engine into place enough to compress the Lord mounts to get the bolts through. Then it was a matter of tightening down the bolts in successive order to that they properly seat. The last step was to set the bolts with the cotter pins. I was able to complete this operation without any help.
