It seemed to me that the biggest problem around cutting the canopy is supporting the canopy in a holder to prevent stress build up. I decided to build a frame to hold the canopy in the front and the back. This would serve during canopy cutting and as a holder for the canopy after assembly. The first thing I did was to decide on the size of the holder. I then determined where I needed to build supports for the canopy front and rear. I then built a frame around the canopy that I used to measure the curvature. I measured the curvature every inch and transferred these measurements to a piece of plywood cut from the crate. I did this in the front and the back of the canopy.
