Brief Description:  Preped right wing ribs and skins for priming

This last week was spent scrubbing parts and aloding them in preparation for priming. I've decided to prime all the interior wing surfaces prior to assembly. I'm using a 2 part epoxy paint from www.polyfiber.com. They recommend applying a conversion coating using their alumidyne product, which is much like alodin. The parts have to be scrubbed with a scotchbite pad until water sheets on the surface. Then the alumidyne is applied with a sponge and kept wet for 5-7 minutes. Then the parts are clear water rinsed. This prepares the surface for the paint to get a sufficient bite and also further protects the aluminum in the case that water gets under the paint. However, its a little messy.
