Brief Description: Shop preparation - hand tool panel
I have found over the years that its important to have good tool panels for storing tools. There is nothing more frustrating during a project than misplacing a tool and having to spend time looking for it. I'm really not a neat freak, but I like to be able to put things away quickly after completing one or a series of operations before I move on to the next. I feel that I can make much quicker progress on a project if I periodically take the time to clear the deck before starting something new. I decided to take the time before I got into earnest kit building to redo the tool panels, provide a place for every tool, and paint and varnish the panels and tool furniture. Each tool holder was cut using a very narrow bandsaw blade. The holder will only hold the tool it was made for. In a couple of places, I built racks to hold small tools like punches and scizors and razor knives, but most holders are very specific. This panel holds only hand tools and measuring tools.
