Spent the day completeing the installation of the rudder pedal and brakes. I connected the rudder panels to the rudder cables to determine rudder pedal posiiton. I adjusted the rudder panels for Kay and I and made attachment plates for this length. After attending a builders group meeting, I decided to replace the standard brake lines with a set from Bonoco. These seem much more durable and less likely to leak. I completed the rudder panel installation using the prescribed castle bolts. I added wing walk material to the rudder panel face to provide more traction and durability. Finally, I replaced all the brake lines with the Bonoco lines. Just for curiosity, I measured the Bonoco lines and the lines that I replaced. The Bonoco lines were a couple of ounces lighter than the plastic lines. After all was installed, I filled the system with brake fluid on both sides and assured that the system was completely bleed. The brake system seems extremely stiff, but I suspect it will loosen up once I get them broken in.
