I had given a lot of consideration to mounting the fuel floow sensor in the hose between the fuel distributor and the fuel controller. This would have reqiured the sensor to be mounted on the engine mount and couple to hoses that ran to the engine on both sides of the sensor. I decided that this would have exposed the sensor to a lot of potential vibration and heat. I decided to keep the sensor inside the passenger compartment. The easiest place to mount the sensor was right next to the fuel connector that penetrates the firewall. Although this puts the sensor in a place where right angle fittings are required on both sides of the sensor. There was no clear guidance from the manufacturer that I could find concerning this, so this became the chosen location. The bracket will be mounted with closed end pop rivets. Note, the penetration hole for the throttle cable had to be specially fitted around this bracket.
