Brief Description: Sanded snorkel and fitted flanges
After the snorkel cured, I sanded the inside and outside to make it as smooth as possible. I fitted the snorkel between the mixture control head and the air inlet to check final fit. All clearances seemed appropriate. I decided to attach the flanges on the air inlet side at this point so that I could assure proper fit. I rivetted and resined the flanges to the snorkel using the same technique as the hinges. Holes were drilled between the rivets to help secure the flanges. The flanges were scrubbed to give the resin something to bite into.
