After the first layup cured, I removed the foam form. This was a little bit of a pain, but I eventually chipped it out one bit at a time. After getting the form out, I sanded the inside and outside of the transition. I then added another 3 layers of fiberglass on the outside of the snorkel to give it some additional strength.
