After doing some initial fitting, I decided to follow the procedure recommended by Vans. I mounted the cowl and held it in place with a strap clamp. This worked really well. I was able to get a tight fit and hold the cowl in place for measuring. At this point, I decided to use the hinge attachment method for the lower cowl and thte seam betweeen the upper cowl and lower cowl. After talking to Dave Edgemond, I decided to use Sky Bolts for the back edge of the upper cowl. To me, this seems to be the best compromise between ease of attachment and accuracy of fit. I took some more time getting the two halves to fit correctly, particularly in the front around the propeller.
