One of the challenges of building a kit aero plane that offers several configurations is what model? Do I want a side by side OR tandem seating arrangement? As much as I like the tandem arrangement, I also want to make it comfortable for my wife who I plan to get tripping around with me. Side by side it is.
We are left with the RV7/7A or RV9/9A
Aerobatics is something I am keen on learning. Without being a complete adrenaline junky I want the ability to do aileron rolls, loops, barrel rolls & basic maneuvers.
That narrows the field down to RV7/7A.
The tail dragger to me has a certain appeal that I have always liked. This pretty much narrows the choice down to an RV7
