My name is Jarrod Clowes from Deniliquin, NSW Australia. I am married with 2 children and started flying in 1993. I have flown a variety of aircraft mainly the piper family (archers, arrows and lances). In 2000 due to work family & financial commitments my flying got shelved for some time. In 2008 I was introduced to Don Escott from sport air aviation in Tocumwall who took me for a ride in a Jabiru 160C. I was hooked again. After 1.2 hrs duel after not flying for 8 years I found myself solo again doing circuits. With no aircraft to fly in Deniliquin and some other pilots facing the same dilemma we formed a syndicate and purchased a J230D from Jabiru in Bundaberg. Well we are airborne again and loving it. Now to the point. The RV. I have always been an RV fan. I thought even though the Jabiru I have an interest in is only new, to do an RV project to my satisfaction, after researching it - this would be a 5 year + project. The great thing about the vans aircraft is that they can be done in modules and as I have an aircraft to fly, the urge to rush the project in order to fly isn’t there. Flying is a major passion and I sincerely love the Jabiru and will have many may enjoyable hours flying her. I now have the best of both worlds being able to fly my Jabi, and building an Aircraft I have always wanted to own & build, and one day fly.
