Unrolled the 4x4 sheet of 2024t3 .025 aluminum. Marked and cut two 24x12 pieces to use for left and right trim tabs. Peeled plastic off one side, wiped bare metal with acetone and sprayed each piece with green zinc chromate primer. Built a brake shoe with 3/16x 2 x 3ft steel strap and welded a 3/8 steel rod on one edge. Plan to use this to make the trailing edge bend on the tabs. Plans call out for 1/8 radius but I'm going bigger to help match the 1/2in trailing edge of the elevator.
