Used some dirty scraps of mild 1/8" steel, purple tungsten and ER80 filler for my first ever TIG welds. Looks pretty nasty but I learned A LOT! A cheater lens for the helmet is needed, touching the filler rod on the tungsten makes a mess, and less heat is needed the futher into the weld one goes. The pedal is awesome!
Bought a cheap HF welding table on sale. Much better than the cold cement floor.
