Started the task of trimming and fitting the top cowl. Cleaned up around the intake with a die grinder and emery wheel, trimmed the sides as straight as I could, measured 2 inches back on the fuselage and marked the cut line as per Van's instructions. I have approx 1/4" clearance between the cowl and backing plate on the prop spinner. Once cut and sitting where I want it, I marked the holes for the cowl fasteners, drilled out the holes, riveted on the skybolt fasteners
