Drilling the holes for reinforement fork and the doubler plate. I need too modify the ends of these as stated in the plans, a small amount has to be cut off. Once done I can do the corrosion prep work - alodine and prime. Cut the small amount off the ends and alodined both parts. With the rear spar I ended up getting a long piece of plumbers piping and caped off one end with a screw cap on the other end, once I deoxidined and cleaned up I half filled the pipe with a mixture of water and alodine, inserted the rear spar and screwed cap on and this alodined the piece nicely and even. I will use this method on all long pieces of aluminium, works a treat. Tomorrow I will prime and rivet plates on.
