Sanded back the intersection fairing on the left side wheel pant. Lots and lots of sanding, layed another layer of cloth to thicken up the fairing, more sanding, gave it a coat of 2 pak primer, wow a gazillion pin holes. Sanded this back. I decided to cut the two halves apart, this turned out nice except for it appears to bow out a fraction up near the neck of the fairing, so I epoxy glued on two strips of aluminium and this will hold the two halves together better once assembled. After researching the net, the prognosis was to use a epoxy filler spread over the fibreglass to fill the pin holes. I used a flocoat epoxy, painted it on with a brush and then mucho sanding later, it looks good. I will sand back a bit more and then final coat of 2 pak primer and hopefully no more pin holes. This really takes a lot of time so I guessed so far it has taken approx 10 hours to this stage.
