Brief Description:  Wheel Pants

Sanded back the intersection fairing on the left side wheel pant. Lots and lots of sanding, layed another layer of cloth to thicken up the fairing, more sanding, gave it a coat of 2 pak primer, wow a gazillion pin holes. Sanded this back.
I decided to cut the two halves apart, this turned out nice except for it appears to bow out a fraction up near the neck of the fairing, so I epoxy glued on two strips of aluminium and this will hold the two halves together better once assembled.
After researching the net, the prognosis was to use a epoxy filler spread over the fibreglass to fill the pin holes. I used a flocoat epoxy, painted it on with a brush and then mucho sanding later, it looks good. I will sand back a bit more and then final coat of 2 pak primer and hopefully no more pin holes. This really takes a lot of time so I guessed so far it has taken approx 10 hours to this stage.
