Sanded smooth the edges of the canopy for the last time, sanded the canopy frame, primed and painted in the grey/silver colour I have my interior. I didn't want a white frame. Also painted the underside of the strip which goes along the top. I placed a small amount of clear silastic under the strip where the rivets are and riveted the canopy onto the frame (Yeah, this is not coming off) I looked at heaps of different ways to put the canopy on the frame, but decided to go with Van's way of just rivet (made sure holes were larger to allow for expansion). Was going to silastic on but thought it would make a mess and look terrible looking up and seeing the silastic smeared or spread underneath the bars to the canopy.
