I drilled out the 1" hole on the firewall where you sre supposed to fit the front leg bolt, would have been easier to have done this before I put the leg on. I was deciding how to block the hole, so using a rubber bung and smearing heat silastic around it and with the console then covering over this it should be OK. Dismantled the canopy attach rails and inside side skirts and alodined. I decided to go with the fibreglass fairing which I purchased from the USA, It looks better I feel than the Van's factory aluminium side skirts (aluminium harder to form) and is all one piece, so hopefully look better.
