Brief Description: Installation of Landing Light LL-200
My brother was in town for a couple of days to he helped me turn the wing to right side up and helped with the work in completing the installation of the landing light as follows. Completed steps 1-11 page 40-03 related to W-00014 landing light lens. Drilled holes per instruction, final drilled #27, deburred and countersunk holes. Dimpled the 8 mounting holes in W-1203-R outboard wing skin. Used lens backing strips to final trim the W-0014 lens per Figure 3. My brother did a good job with the trimming of the light lens. Completed step 1 page 40-06 – riveted the W-1223B-L&R landing light ribs to the W-1203-R outboard wing skin per Figure 3. Completed steps 6 and 7 page 40-07. Installed lL-200 landing light onto the W-1223B-L&R landing light ribs per Figure 1. Added one AN960-10 washer to each mounting bolt in addition the lock washer and washer provided with the landing light to the AN3-3A bolt as the bolt was bottoming our prior to tightening the light to the brackets. Aimed light per the instructions and final tightened the bolts. Completed steps 8 and 9 page 40-07. Installed W-00014 lens through the opening and secured with the #6 screws per Figure 2 completing the landing light installation work. Light was tested with 9 Volt battery from the inboard connector to verify operation and wiring.
