Brief Description: Installed V-stab, rudder and ADAHRS stiffener
My good friend Dave Cornog from Los Angeles visited today and was a very valuable help to tackle a couple of assembly tasks better done with two persons. Per Section 11 – Empennage attachment we completed the following steps. Completed steps 1-3 page 11-02 – attached rear spar of V-stab to tailcone assembly with fasteners called out in Figure 1 detail B-B. Also attached front spar of V-stab to tailcone assembly using the hardware called out in Figure 1 Detail A-A. Completed step 4 – installed lower hinge assembly per Figure 1 – Detail B-B with hardware shown. Completed step 5 – installed rudder to V-stab assembly using the hardware called out in Figure 2 and page 7-03. Completed step 6 – checked rudder assembly to make sure it swings freely and limited only by rudder stop per Figure 2 – detail C-C. Also installed the ADAHRS additional stiffener F-00062 per steps 1-4 page 42C-09.
