Brief Description:  Fuel Header tank

A big job! Time critical due to epoxy curing.

Epoxy was painted thinly into core channel, all over phenolic board, inside and outside of tank frame. Flox was mixed in and used to overfill channel for good squeeze out when attached to phenolic board. Ran out of flox and had to mix more fast.

Meanwhile, a 15 pump of epoxy was mixed and poured onto 3 carbon fiber layers, sqeegied throughout and plastic drop cloth placed on top to form sandwich for easy cutting.

Fuel tank frame was then carefully placed onto phenolic board in the brace and held securely.

Premeasured strips were cut and placed over flox fillets formed earlier with popsicle stick. Inside of fuel tank and outside, too, for very secure attachment to phenolic board. Dacron strips were placed over carbon fiber ones for easier sanding later.

Whew!
