Manual Reference:  Ch 11 part 2
Brief Description:  First engine run

Installed the propeller (3-blade DUC Helices) according to the manual but without the safety wiring and adjusted the blade attack angle to 20 degrees as recommended by DUC.
Followed then the first run procedures (ICP ch 11 part 2):
1. checked amount of oil and burped - ok
2. checked amount of cooling liquid - ok
3. filled circuit with fuel. (Actually, filled the sump tank 1/4 full) -ok
4. drained air from the fuel system but without removing the fuel tubes (as is recommended by the manual). Switched the master switch on and then the electric fuel pump and kept it going until fuel was pumped out in the open from the open end of the tube of the fuel return line to the wing tank. Then the pump and master were switched off - ok
5. Moved the airplane outside of the garage to a more appropriate place. Turned on the master switch on and activated the starter engine for 15 seconds with the magnetos in OFF position just to get the oil starting to flow inside the engine - ok
6. switched the magnetos to ON and activated the starter engine. The engine started immediately - ok
7. Left the engine running while my friend Hans-Christian kept his thumb on the open fuel return tube to prevent fuel pumping out on the street. All engine values were ok but the idle was set much too high and will be corrected.
Idle engine - 2200 rpm (too high and needs adjusting)
oil pressure - 5 bar, good
fuel pressure - 6 psi, good
battery - 14 V (new battery so no surprise)
generator - loading the battery, good

No more testing for now.
Next steps:
a) paint the project
b) install the wind screen
c) mount the wings and connect all steering rods&wires
d) final check
e) 50 hours flight check
