Modified Panels with Sighting Holes
During the assembly of the tailfeathers it was found that visibility of the control connection through the access hatches was extremely poor and the daily inspection tasks during operation would require to remove the hatches each time.
Thus each access hatch was fitted with a window for easy observation. The windows were fitted with leftover polycarbon sheet from the skylight construction. The windows were sealed with Sikaflex and rivetted to the aluminium cover plates
