Instrument Panel Planning/Design/Construction:

- Planning:

The initial planning started with discussion on the specification, that is the purpose and proposed use of the aircraft and thus the type equipment to be installed in the plane. Having concluded this intial phase the following specification was arrived at:
- Aircraft to be able to operate in VFR and IFR conditions;
- Aircraft able to be operate after sunset;
- Aircraft to be flown in controlled and uncontrolled airspace including take off and landings in major, that is controlled airports (Bankstown, Sydney, etc).

On the basis of above scope, the decision was made to equip the aircraft with a full compliment of analog instrument including engine monitoring system, backed up with an electronic flight instrumentation to provide positional and attidude information, including moving map display.

Thus the followinginstrumentation was decided upon:
- Analog Instruments:
- ASI, Altimeter, VSI, Turn&Slip Indicator, Attitude Gyro, Directional Gyro, ADF;
- RPM, CHT, Oil Temp, Oil Pressure and Vacuum gauges;
- Chronometer, Hobbs Meter and Volt/Amp meter
- Digital Instrumentation:
- Garmin G3X Display (GDU370) with GSU25 (ADAHRS), GEA24 (EIS), GMU22 Magnetometer, GTP59 (OTP);
- Garmin GPS20A (ADS-B GPS) to provide data to provide data to GTX 23 ES transponder.
- Radio Stack:
- Garmin GMA 340 Audio Panel;
- Garmin GTR 225 (TSOd VHF COM radio);
- Garmin GTR 200 (Non TSOd VHF COM radio);
- BendixKing KR-87 ADF; and
- Garmin GTX 23 ES ADS-B "Out" transponder.
