Brief Description:  Painting miscellaneous parts

Today, in freezing temperatures, I had to get some painting done. I couldn't run the heater with its naked flame with paint fumes, so all of this was done in the cold, but with the heat gun to accelerate drying of the paint.

Bits outstanding included the Map Box, the Fuselage Side Covers (needed to complete the wiring), and the replacement Fuselage Pin Latches, also needed for wiring.

I'm starting to regret not having rattle cans. It took four hours to prepare, etch prime, prime, then paint a handul of parts that needed to be grey as they will be visible.

Today I managed to lock myself in the garage. Sandra's car, parked on the ice outside, had started to slowly slide forward as the ice started to melt. It came to rest against the garage door, preventing it from automatically opening. When I did free myself, I saw the telltale trace of blue garage door paint on the car. Another, non-plane-related task looms...
