Brief Description:  Prime, then attach main wing rib doublers

As usual, there are no pictures to document another mammoth priming session. 5 hours work to prime the 26 wing main ribs. I will have the same again (28 actually) when I do the wing nose ribs.
I've nearly used up 5 litres of primer (imaginge the weight), so it's a good job the second installment arrived in the post today. Another £100 :-(

Picture 1 is actually the result of Page 15-02 Step 8. These are Hinge Ribs, delivered in pairs, but now separated, cleaned up and primed. These are the items which I had previously trial fitted (Page 15-03 Step 7) and found I had been too enthusiastic with the riveting of the Hinge Brackets, leaving nowhere to attach them to these ribs.

Picture 2 (post-priming) is a right-hand rib and doubler riveted together. This fits the left wing. Picture 3 shows a left-hand rib and doubler riveted togther. This fits the right wing. Confusing ain't it! Right and left notation doesn't refer to the wing but whether the rib flange faces inbound or outboard. The innermost rib on both wings is strengthened and has its flange facing outwards. All other main ribs face inwards.

The doublers are not mirror images as the wings are not mirror images, because of the overlap inside the fuselage. One wing has the main spar further forward than the other to cater for the overlap.
