Tim returned today, having fabricated a nipple to attach to the banjo fitting.
The fuel flow measurements, predictably, were satisfactory. So we completed the day's work with a long session filling up forms.
At Tim's suggestion, I photocopied everything and prepared the package of paperwork to go to the LAA with a £40 cheque. This, in turn, goes to the CAA, so I'm not sure whether it will be days, weeks or months before I get approval for test flight.
Meanwhile the only outstanding issue, noted by Tim, is the brakes for which I am still awaiting a replacement master cylinder.
