Brief Description: The Avionics and Firewall Forward kits arrive
As requested, the Avionics and Firewall Forward kits arrived before the end of the year to avoid paying the increase in VAT from 15% to 17.5% from 1st January. The huge packing crate also included the trim kit, so I now have everything on site. However, I couldn't believe the size and weight (105kg) of the crate, bearing in mind the Firewall kit was minus the engine. The blue box is the Garmin 495 that was back-ordered, but arrived an hour or two before the main shipment!
I grabbed three neighbours to offload the crate, then got started on the unpacking and inventory. After 2.5 hours I had done the basic inventory, but have not yet counted the nuts and bolts etc. in the hardware pack. Nothing missing - super service! My garage is now awash with brown paper packing. Once again, Sandra's car will need to spend the night outside.
