Brief Description:  Sealing up the shroud

I wizzed up to Halfords to get some "aluminium" high temperature paint to do the shroud. I used the same paint to titivate the carburettor drip trays.

With the cooling shroud ready (Picture 1), I sealed it up with high temperature RTV sealant. See picture 2.

The next stage was to install the above-noted drip trays, which I started on at Picture 3. It was here I noted that my engine configuration did not match Vans' plans. After a lot of research I discovered three significant differences:

1. Vans engine has a different fuel pump, with fuel lines crimped on.
2. Vans engine has some customisation for US fittings, and fuel lines from the carbs.
3. Vans engine has some additional accessories that I have not purchased.

I've purchased items to fix problems 2 and 3. I'm still debating with myself what to do about problem 1- a replacement fuel pump is another £350 on top of the £600 I have just spent!

*Note: There's also a problem with fitting the oil lines to the oil tank. Needs investigation.*
