Brief Description:  Test fitting the Cooling Shroud

It's a bit disconcerting reading Step 4 on Page 46-04 to discover that you have to take a hacksaw to the engine. Picture 1 shows a lug on the starter that needs to be removed. Came off easily enough. Hope it's the right one.

The first trial fit of the shroud didn't... I measured the gap between the legs - 8 inches. I measured the gap between the vanes of the adjacent cylinders as 8 and 3/8 inches. So first job was to remove 3/8 inch of material from both sides. Then it went on, albeit with a bit of a struggle.

After 5 trial fittings, with bits marked and trimmed off with a DremeI I was happy with the fit. See Pictures 2 and 3.

We are now ready to start putting the engine back together again. Hooray.
