Still not happy with the cables passing under the lower Flaperon Mixer Arm. Seems much too easy for the cables to get chafed, with subsequent shorting.
Picture 1 shows a thin strip of aluminium that I prepared from a piece of scrap. I'm going to paint this then rivet it over the cables, just forward of the Flaperon Mixer Arm. This requires just one existing rivet to be drilled out, and one additional rivet hole in the floor.
Picture 2 shows the 37-pin D-sub. Many of the cables terminate in pins which I had to insert into the (hopefully) correct holes in the plug then shrink-wrap the whole bundle.
Picture 3 shows the connector that goes on the end of the static tube. Vans seemed to supply significantly too much tube, and I had a large piece left after trimming to the required length. Wish I had known earlier, because I ordered extra to connect up to the steam gauges. The excess tube is probably sufficient for this.
