Brief Description:  Preparing the Terminal Blocks

The start of the wiring chapter is to assemble a Terminal Block that is riveted to a Fuselage Side Cover, that is in turn screwed to the fuselage sides in the wing root area. The objective is to make electrical contacts when each wing is plugged in so that services can be delivered to the wing - e.g. the stall warner.

The blocks start life as "plastic" rectangles that are drilled then cut to shape, before riveting electrical contacts on either side. I had a heck of a job finding the template for this, as it was delivered in the wing kit to serve two purposes. It eventually emerged from the dark recesses of my storage.

Picture 1 shows the completed blocks. The Fuselage Side Covers that these are riveted in will need to be primed, so this work is also now on hold until I get around to another painting session. The temperature outside is minus 5C, so hardly conducive to painting :-(

*The spring tabs need to be bent futher out from the Terminal Block to eventually make good contact with the screw heads in the wing roots. Easy to do it now.*
