Picture 1 shows the mistake I made in accidentally drilling through the longeron into this upright. The other side is similar.
I spend the first part of the day removing the longerons, to fix the droop. This took some effort with the rubber hammer, but eventually they straightened up and I was able to refit the longerons. This time everything lined up so I was able to match drill the final seven holes from the rear of the side skins into the longerons. These rear parts of the side skin are just a drill template and are cut off once the drilling is done.
I spent the rest of the day preparing the side skins. Lots of deburring and selective removal of the blue plastic.
Finally, I had to cut out slots in the wing skins where the wing spars go. I had not been looking forward to this as the plans suggest using tin snips. My limited experience with snips inevitably damaged the material, so I was keen to explore any practical alternative. I finally dug out my under-utilised dremel and fitted a small cutting wheel. This went through the sheet like a wire through cheese. It needed careful manipulation to ensure I did not over extend the cuts into the skins, or my fingers for that matter. And it only took minutes... Picture 2 is one of the panels with the slot complete.
