Picture 1 shows a view from the rear of the forward fuselage assembly riveted to the rest of the structure.
I dug out the fuselage sides from the packing case and clecoed them in place - Picture 2. Everything fitted perfectly apart from the previously-mentioned droop at the rear of the longerons. This is the section where they overlap into the tailcone assembly so I wanted this to be right, so some adjustment still to be done.
With everything fitting nicely I went ahead and match drilled all of the holes into the longerons (with the exception of the 7 holes at the back which would wait until I got the longeron droop removed). Only mistake was a couple of rivet holes amidships. You have to drill through the thick roll bar attach plates into the longerons. I clean forgot that there are a couple of uprights under this structure so accidentally drilled into these without aligning them beforehand. If I had my time again, I would bend these slightly out of the way before drilling.
