Brief Description:  Prepare fuselage corner and bottom skins

The multiple curvature at the left and right "corners" of the centre fuselage section is handled by riveting a number of small Corner Skins together.

From the seat section forwards to the step section there are six small skins per side, and a larger one in front of these.

As described in the plans there are small "notches" on five of the small corner skins to identify each one, as they are all different and the position is important. The notches are organised so that the skins can be clecoed together end to end in the correct sequence. The sixth skin is un-notched. If you don't keep track of left and right sides also it is possible to assemble them the wrong way, and they don't fit. Guess how I know!

Picture 1 shows the six skins clecoed together.

Picture 2 shows an example of the larger corner skin that goes in front of the six.

Picture 3 shows preparation work on the single large Bottom Skin (actually Page 21-16). This took some time to selectively remove the plastic to leave an attractive random pattern. Lots of holes to deburr too.
